Windows Internet Explorer 9: Download here |
Mozilla Firefox 11 for Windows: Download here Mozilla Firefox 11 for Mac: Download here |
Note: Users of Firefox versions 4 through 10 will want to disable automatic updates. For Windows users, this setting is found under Tools menu > Options > Advanced tab > Update tab, and for Mac users this is found under Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced tab > Update panel. In this area, the second option for "When updates to Firefox are found" should be set to Ask me what I want to do. In the event that an update is available, incremental updates (for example, an update from 10.0.0 to 10.0.1) can be allowed as these usually address bugs or security issues. Version updates (for example, an update from 9.0 to 10.0) should be declined until the SLN can confirm full functionality.
All other browsers are not recommended and can potentially impact the user's experience. Use of unsupported browsers can result in inconsistent or unpredictable behavior when working in your online courses, including (but not limited to) missing course content, loss of submitted assignments, and various other page errors. Additionally, beta releases of new browser versions should not be used until approved by system developers. In this situation, an official announcement will be posted with additional information.
Additionally, it should be noted that due to current browser requirements, the use of mobile devices such as smartphones, e-readers, and tablets is not recommended.
